Possible Cut Offs and draw dates forecast

730 to 574 seems like a very unlikely jump. A lot of tradeskill people from non-english speaking countries will be in the 700s 574 to 418? No. Basically most PGWP applicants will be in the 400-500 range. So I am assuming there will be atleast 3-4 picks in this region.

Am I qualified for 128 points for Level of Education?

Do you have an ECA for both of them? The thing is you don't need ECA for CEC but if you want all the points for your education, it is advisable to get an ECA done for all of your education.

    Is he lying ????

    Nah, hes being optimistic.

For CEC, I got 40 points with two different NOC and non-continuous experience

I hope this is true. Because I have some good jobs in the pipeline and was planning to stick around for the 1 year continous experience.

Job change withing the year for CEC

I understand that changing your job within one year i.e not having continious work experience doesn't award you points. But is it true if its the same NOC code? like i am currently working in 2171 NOC code and I have a better paying job lined up but in the same NOC code i.e 2171. Will I still...

A small win for the PGWP/CEC candidates

OK. People over here don't seem to grasp a very simple concept. LMIA exists only because a company should first prove there are no Canadian workers and they can hire people from outside of the country. That is all. PGWP holders with a permanent job need not go through all this because the...

First of all this local v/s immigrant debate is futile. I already have a job. I am not fighting for a job. I want residency. Thats the issue of debate here. Now you say that providing the same job to a foreigner results in no income gained. Seriously? How does that affect the government in any...

Again - what is more beneficial to the country? giving a semi - qualified local a job over an immigrant who deserves it? an immigrant who is in the country by following rules. And about calling people stupid. I am a PGWP worker on a website called canadavisa.com trying to find information about...

Let us guess cutoff score for next draw!

450 - this could be realistic based on all the CEC backlog

I agree that this petition is stupid, premature and badly worded. We didn't get shafted. If in 3-4 more picks things didn't improve a better worded petition would have made sense. Now it just makes us PGWP workers look bad.

Do you understand why immigration is important to Canada? what is your population? 35 million? that is the population of California. The country has crazy amount of resources and GDP and can really compete to be top 5. The lack of population is hurting it. That is one primary reason why it needs...

Why Canada .. Why Not Australia?

Both countries has its pros and cons, and if you are willing to migrate then I am sure that both countries are a better destination than your home country. Now, the issue about racism. I've heard a lot of nonsense about threats from other immigrant groups (south east asians) in Australia. Again...

Why Canada .. Why Not Australia?

Trust me, its not as hard as applying from out of north america.

permanent residency is a privilege not a right so please stop signing petitions

Well I completely agree with you, but all they are asking is to be heard; that is all.

Why Canada .. Why Not Australia?

Why ask this here? need some kind of bandwagon to make you feel better ? sour grapes syndrome ? You did not get a reject or they did not keep you hanging. The amount of over reaction on this website is stupid. There has been one pick. Chill out and wait. +1 and the strongest point for Canada...

Want to start a petition. Please provide Input!

OK. This is simply stupid. I understand the concern but atleast wait for a couple of draws. There is a reason there is still a CEC class. It was the first pick that is all. They only picked 779 people. Why such an odd number? Maybe that was all the LMIA applicants there were, maybe the next draw...
