The only place they would be asked this question is at the port of entry. They will have to declare how long they're planning to stay in Canada...

They usually won't discuss the result with you. They will do an x-ray and then let you know if there is a problem. If not, you won't hear anything from them they will just send the report to CIC.

Takes about a week for the doctor to send the report and a week from there for passport request. My parents submitted the passport yesterday at the local vfs. I guess they should receive their visa by the end of this week.

You should just call or walk in to the medical center that did your parents' medical test. They should give you an update first.
