Wrong. It works like that for all CEC applicants for example.

Alberta is where the work is

Immigration should always follow those steps : Discovery => Work => Integration => Permanent status Then a country fill up its need more accurately. And it is easier for the immigrant as he is not expecting anything. Unfortunately, jobs shortages as indicated by CIC are not always true.

Alberta is where the work is

Maybe we could help more if we knew what was your profession. One of my best buddy works in the 3d game design industry. He would never moved to Alberta, he is located in Montreal, he found a job in a week and currently earn 85k/year compare to 45k/year in his home country (France). Alberta is...

How is french helpful in Canada?

I am fully fluent in French. It is a very good asset in the East, not in the West, unless you are looking at working in federal works or french community type of work. But it will definitely helps you in Canada.

My expriences so far ... first two days in Toronto!!!

David, yeah I am not sure, thats why I said I think. You have to understand that I am mainly surrounded by trades people and I dont know any that struggle to find a job in Canada, wether it is in the East or in the West, wether they are immigrant or Canadian. So my statement is not entirely...

My expriences so far ... first two days in Toronto!!!

Jazibkg, I respect your opinion, and I also agree with you, 17 dollars/ an hour is really underpaid for accountant. But Vancouver economy is really in bad situation. The government made political choice towards a more socialistic society, favoring union towards entrepreneurship. The situation...

Alberta is where the work is

Yeah that s right. One thing to remember about southern Alberta. It barely rains, it is way more sunny than Ontario et the cold is dry not wet so it is much nicer. Oil price may be falling but the province has no debt and is able to face a major break down in the oil price.

They have deleted my posts, maybe Beachman was just offended that I argue with details. Freedom of speech :D But thanks David I completely share your point of view Because you think that we are not your equal. You think that handwork does not involve brain work as much as your profession. You...

My expriences so far ... first two days in Toronto!!!

David I came to Canada because of those values, you are right. The use of this word was mainly to describe the socialistic/aristocratic cast that is ruling Europe today. And a lot of Canadian use the word Liberal to describe the more socialistic vision of economy, politics and society...

Which is the best place to live and work in Canada ?

If you are not afraid of working and have the pride to live without social help or welfare then Alberta is the place to go. As for the climate, Calgary/Lethbridge area is the best area in Alberta. You are at the door of the mountain, it barely rain and winter is not that cold just a bit...

My expriences so far ... first two days in Toronto!!!

Charlotte stories made my day. Never been (or barely) in Canada, apply for permanent residency without truly knowing the country, pretending that she is super happy and then can't adapt and all the sudden everything is garbage ;D. The perfectly whinny and spoiled European. Canada is awesome...
