    Plus, What I've done in my application is I attached a separate sheet of paper explaining why I was absent/where/when/for what reasons etc. I then stapled it to the residency calculation print-out. Hope it helps, cheers

    Johanna, I am in the same boat - except my CanadaPost status is still Out For Delivery :( I sent the application January 2nd and it was suppose to arrive January 5th. Canada Post customer service keeps saying the application is received by cic and just hasn't been scanned. No cc charges yet :(...

    I re-read the guide few times on this point, I can't find any alternate meaning to this requirement other than If you become permanent resident after being sponsored by spouse after Jan 1,2010 , you are not eligible to apply for your parents PR. I would call CIC to verify for sure if I were you...

    Can't answer your Q1, but I will try to answer your Q2> form IMM5770E offers you a table to calculate: Sponsor 75 Applicant (your father) 475 Applicant's spouse or common law partner (your mother) 550 So it adds up to 1100. And I don't see in this table a fee for co-signer fee at all.
