    Vancouver applicants - (C-6 10/11)

Ugh, I went to IP on 4 December and on 5 January, I got a Fingerprint Request. Sigh. Another delay.

    Vancouver applicants - (C-6 10/11)

A friend of mine said she applied in mid-August, got a test invitation at the end of November. So 3.5 months from mailing the application to a test invitation. And the test was for mid-December. (Vancouver office.)

I really wish I hadn't spent the extra $ on express shipping now. :( It arrived early morning on Oct 16, meaning it's at the bottom of the pile.

For post-C6 applicants who received AOR, did you use PR card as ID?

Good, because in BC you can now combine your Drivers Licence and Health Care card, meaning you only have 1 additional ID.

    September 2017 Citizenship Applications

I am beginning to suspect it depends on whose desk it lands on. Some processors are fast, some are not, and if your application is a little more complicated it might get put into the "difficult" pile to be sorted out later? If I worked there, I would be going through the routine applications...

Police Certificate requirement for countries where an individual spent 6+ months

Be warned - it takes 3+ months at the moment. There is a great thread on these forums that goes into a lot of detail. http://www.canadavisa.com/canada-immigration-discussion-board/threads/fbi-pcc.247817/unread

    Citizenship Applications after Bill C-6

Thank you! Those stats are fascinating. Only 93% of Citizenship applications are approved? Makes me wonder what people do wrong to be denied. And the drop in numbers due to C-24 is so obvious. Almost ~50% for a lot of the "high number" countries.

My address is in Vancouver. It should get there Monday 16 Oct. Single applicant, 1350 days.

    Citizenship Applications after Bill C-6

Finally mailed mine after my payment receipt came through after midnight last night. (So glad I didn't pay twice!) I went to a tiny UPS office in the middle of nowhere, suburbia. The woman at the counter said she'd already processed 10 to the same address in the last day. Yikes.

    Changes on Oct 11, 2017 - Executive summary/FAQ C-6

I called my bank and they said CIC DID take the money. Even though there's no receipt.

Paid 640$ twice with no receipt

So my choice is to wait 10 days for a Receipt.... or pay again and hope that CIC can refund the first one.

    Citizenship Applications after Bill C-6

Well now I'm gonna cry. I paid the fees but the confirmation timed out on the CIC website. According to my bank, the $630 transaction went through and they cannot cancel it. But there is nothing in my "Receipts" on the CIC website. I did not get an email. And I cannot get through on the...

    Citizenship Applications after Bill C-6

Ugh. Website seemed to be working so I tried to pay my fees. It took the payment but gave me an error before I got a receipt. But the charge shows up in my bank account. Anyone know what to do???

    Citizenship Applications after Bill C-6

So...nowhere on this form do I get to write my full, complete name. It asks for the name that is shown on my most recent immigration document, which cuts off the last few letters of my middle name (because it's long). Hmmm.

    Citizenship Applications after Bill C-6

I have the exact same question. I stayed with family for 2 months in another country. I do not expect that time to count towards my time in Canada, but Form 0177 has nothing to do with that situation.

Check the FAQ - it actually says that the Printed Date needs to be the same as the signature date. Guess I'll go toss mine and reprint tomorrow!

Awesome! Now I'm busy adding all my pre-PR absences.

Police certificate and day trips to USA - Mock PPR Calculation!

I disagree. That is the calculator for days in CANADA. It is not the calculator for days in the USA. e.g. Even though you went to the USA for 1 day, it considers you as having been in Canada because you spent part of the day there. So if it was a days-calculator for the USA, the reverse...
