Hi Kits I just want to make sure. So, once AOR got approved they will notify us through email that we provided? Is that correct? Then afterwards we can try and link the application online? Is that the process?

I'm getting nervous now. Application sent April 11. Received April 12. We haven't receive AOR yet. I checked the spread sheets some of them who submitted April 15 got AOR's already. We are really hoping that we got the AOR soon and don't return the our application. Fingers crossed.

Yes, you can apply inland spousal sponsorship. As long as you don't let your visitor visa lapse. Apply for extension of your visitor visa before it get's expired and tell them that you are waiting for your spousal application. The same time you can apply for your Open work permit.
