can u tell me ur ecas status, too? mine started showing "in process" on may 25th, then as buffalo got closed, i guess my case is in ottawa now.

not really, but sure they would require ur passport be valid for 2-3 months, at least the expiration date of ur PR visa is based on ur medical test date, for example, if u did ur medical exam on november 1, 2011, then if cic decides to grant u pr visa, then the expiration date of that pr visa...

the whole consulate is closing,,, for all times, not just for summer

next month they will announce, and it is said that they will close it at the end of June, 2012 and all files r transferred to NY visa office, causing pileup of cases, and very likely, delay! man,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,, i am speechless now!

i noticed that it took u 53 days to complete medical test, after cic requested, it might be the reason of ur slow process (u r supposed to have the medical results delivered to cic within 60 days)

and u got transferred to ottawa? cuz we have the almost exactly the same timeline, but i have heard nothing from cic after "medical results received"

u can ask the office where u do criminal check to make sure, also, e-fingerprint is faster then ink by the way, when did u get medical request, and it shows medical results received yet? thx

wut do u mean by "immigration staff take their vacation in june or july?"

this is normal. some ppl even waited for up to 8 months to get FN/MR. u have been waiting for only 5 months, it is better not to be too pushy to those visa officers. but check ur email routinely as ur FN/MR should be coming soon.
