that is true, have you already got the PGWP? I am assuming not yet as you are still studying, so don't apply for PGWP after ur certificate but do another certificate and then apply so u can get 3 years PGWP

The best option for you is to take admission in another 1 year certificate or 2 years diploma if you can get credits cuz of urs 1 year certificate. The other option is to get any provincial nomination asap and apply for P.R then u can apply for Bridging open work permit. Mind you this process...

Nothing at all as far as I know. I know quite a few people waiting from over 27 months, they tried every possible thing but nothing worked. Calls, emails, MP, NOTES from all institutions etc

Waiting from 2 months, haven't received notes from them. I think they will start background check in couple of months and then it will take few more months. One of my friends received his PPR email last week and he waited for 27.5 months in total.

I got the notes from CSIS last month. They said they don't have any information regarding my file means they haven't received any request regarding my file.

sympathetic gesture lol. We all are pretty much in a same boat, i wish i could see how do they work. we are here in Canada from last 6 7 years, have Canadian education and experience but still are treated like criminals, rather than fixing their issues they are punishing us. On the other hands...

my security hasn't even started yet ,how can i get in a week or so

The email from CIC says we did they receive our file and CIC counts the months from there as well so do all of us.

you guys are lucky that at least ur security has started ,mine hasn't .Background check in process status changed in January 2018, so 6 months have passed and they did nothing at all.
