    QUEBEC PEQ LETS SHARE EXPERIENCE!!

That's a good relief. So if you provide a proof that you applied for CSQ, it's enough to be able to renew your work permit?

Quebec-based PR Application Timeline through CSQ-PEQ

I apologize. For some reason, I was thinking about the PEQ program for foreign students (under which I applied). You are right, you can apply under the PEQ program for temporary workers. For PEQ, you will need B2 level to be able to apply. Otherwise, it will mean refusal of your application...

    QUEBEC PEQ LETS SHARE EXPERIENCE!!

You can try mailing them a letter of explanation along with the results to see if they reconsider you for PEQ, although to be honest, I'm not sure how likely it is given that they had sent you a letter telling you that your application under PEQ was refused. But you're not losing anything. If I...

Quebec-based PR Application Timeline through CSQ-PEQ

To get CSQ, there are two ways: the PEQ program or the (old/regular) points-based system. PEQ has two conditions: you have to have a Quebec degree AND advanced level of french. If you don't have both requirements, then you will need to apply through the regular points-based system. I'm not very...

Quebec-based PR Application Timeline through CSQ-PEQ

It could take much less to process CSQ. I know some people got it in 6 months. but these are the official timelines from their website. Similarly, for the PR. They say on the website 18 months, some people get it in 8 months, others in 12, others in 18. So you can't really know... Do you hold a...

    QUEBEC PEQ LETS SHARE EXPERIENCE!!

It's not uncommon to hear about cases where it takes 3-4 months to get Acknowledgement of Receipt (AOR). I remember they say that you can contact them 10 weeks after you have sent your application if you did not receive any update. So I think at this stage all you can do is send an email and wait.

Quebec-based PR Application Timeline through CSQ-PEQ

Hi, It depends on where your CSQ will be processed. If you're moving to Quebec and applying here, current processing times are about 1.5 to 2 years for the CSQ, and then about 1 to 1.5 years for the PR.

Quebec-based PR Application Timeline through CSQ-PEQ

I'm honestly not sure. I think it would be wise to take the legal advice of an immigration lawyer. You don't want to risk your CSQ being revoked, because if it is, then your PR gets automatically cancelled. This link has some answers that might be useful (although it's a bit different than your...

Quebec-based PR Application Timeline through CSQ-PEQ

From what I read on other threads, when you do your landing, they will ask you for your address but won't ask for a proof of it. So then, you give them a Quebec address and in all cases you have something to back it up. However, since you're being paid, the federal government will know that an...

Quebec-based PR Application Timeline through CSQ-PEQ

The thing is that while such info provides some sort of idea about the what applications are being processed, it is by no means a rigid indicator. There is a lot of uncertainty and randomness in the processing times of these applications. My friend who also applied in December 2013 did not even...

    QUEBEC PEQ LETS SHARE EXPERIENCE!!

Hello, 1. They're asking you to verify that you will have the minimum required amount of money. so yes, use the table they provided to do the calculations and put that amount in the blank space in the text. So for example, if you're single (thus, no children), you will need to have: 2 924...

    QUEBEC PEQ LETS SHARE EXPERIENCE!!

From what I know, if your application under PEQ is refused, they wouldn't allow you to re-apply again. The only way is -as they said- to apply through the regular points-based system. But it wouldn't hurt to email them and check anyway or send them a letter of explanation with the results...

A guy from another thread said that he and his two other friends received their PR in December. They had all got CSQ-PEQ and applied for PR in November/December 2013.

Sometimes it takes about 3 months, and with all the holidays, you should expect it very soon. You can also email them. I did so, but it took them like a month to reply.

Well I sure hope so! My friend got it in 8 months. He applied in early 2013. My other friend who applied in December 2013 didn't still get a status update that says the application is in process! :/ When did you file your PR (federal) application?
