Do not worry about the message you got from the CIC agent. If you call again, you will get another message! I believe the person told you before the 5th of February, as one of them once told me that they have to schedule the oath within 6 months of the test. And the agent who answered your call...

I had a missing stamp as well, but I had the itinerary and the officer took it from me. My test was on July 2nd, and I got invitation for oath on Sep 15th. I believe if you handed your documents shortly after your test, your oath shall be coming very soon. Call CIC and ask them about the status...

Engineers who can't be called engineers...

Apply for any engineering job you think you can do, without calling yourself an engineer. Needless to say that for jobs that require P.Eng. registration you will not be able to apply. Whe they hire you, they most likely will call you a designer. I realized that writing 'design engineer" in a...

Engineers who can't be called engineers...

A common mistake done by immigrants is to use the title "Engineer" when they do not hold an engineering license. It is against the "Professional Engineering Act" to use "Professional Engineer" or an abbreviation or variation such as "Engineer"! Please refer to...

On the request for the landing document, they write "all original documents you submitted with your application". This is odd writing as it implies even birth certificates, children' school records, etc!!!

    Handwritten Translation

Yes I had the interview and I am invited for the oath in a few days. I do not remember if there is some handwritten words beside stamps. But I certainly have many handwritten words through my passport pages (and some times whole pages), that I did not translate.

    Handwritten Translation

As long a the stamp shows the date in English, I would not translate the handwritten words. I had in my passport many handwritten words in Arabic that I did not pay attention to in terms of translation.
