    Question regarding ATIP Report

My understanding, and I can be wrong, is that your passport is required by them as of July 2014. I read somewhere here a very similar post to yours, and whenever the person contacted CIC to ask if anything is required, she would have been told nothing is. And a few months later she realized that...

    lawsuits against C24

In my view, the problem is with how many immigrants as well as probably the policy makers look at the Canadian citizenship. Those who look at it as a privilege, see no wrong on stripping someone from it shall he committed certain crimes. However, a citizenship is not a privilege, it is rather an...

    Change Address

I do not see any problem to have a different address you live in than the one in file. You will prove that you are living at your real address using real documents and papers. The one in file is your choice so that you do not change local office.

    CBSA report

I did not order my CBSA report, and there was a missing stamp out of the 4 stamps of my travel. I had the flight ticket with me, and the interviewer took it and attached it to my application. I think it is better if you have the boarding passes, but as I said the ticket did the job.

    Change Address

I moved from a city to another, and I did not change my address. All what I did is 'mail forwarding". However, some letters were forwarded and some others were delivered to the old address! It is Canada Post!

All the waiting is bad and at each stage you would think that this is the worst waiting, until the next stage comes and you find it worse!

I am not sure about the date. The officer understood the stamps in my language and she did not refer to the translation when she was doing a check on the stamps. So I said that there was no need for me to bring a passport translation then. She said it is good that I brought them because the...

    The importance of calling CIC

And by the way, the notes put her name under "Decision Judge Name"!! At the interview, she said it is good that you brought such document so that it will help the judge to take the decision! And apparently, there was no judge involved!

    The importance of calling CIC

Yes, it is interesting to understand what is going on behind the scene. By the way, many of the calls are useless because they depend on how cooperative the call agent is. But calling deveral times will ensure you get some of the cooperative ones that will help your case!

For those who took the OATH

There are officers who are watching the people to make sure that they say the oath. And at the beginning of the ceremony, we were told by the MC that not repeating the oath will stop you from being a citizen. However, I do not think that 'loud" thing applies :)

Congratulations. I know people who are really reluctant to call, although their files have been in process for more than two years!

For those who took the OATH

I posted the same question prior to my oath of last week. All the experiences, including mine, did not need any of those papers. Only the landing paper, PR card, passports and IDs. In my case, I was asked for just the PR and the landing paper. However, I did bring almost all the originals just...

Hello everyone, I have had my test on July 2nd, and my oath on Sep 15th. My local office is Vancouver. I have always called CIC call centre to inquire about the status of my application. I ordered the GCMS notes (ATIP) and I found that my call seems to have been crucial. On Aug. 18th I called...
