Finally back from vacations and did my PR landing yesterday at Pearson airport :)

No i did not withdraw.. i got COPR mid of Nov and i have trip next week.. so i was not expecting to get PR card before that.. thus i am delaying my landing and will do on my way back from the trip.. needed BOWP extension to maintain legal status in Canada.

I believe the AOR concern is only for EE applicants. I have gotten BOWP once and extended twice (second time extension after COPR).. so I dont think pre-EE applicants have anything to worry about.

i agree.. it is not the date when medical was performed but the date medical was received by CIC.

Will my BOWP extension get approved even if COPR has been issued to me? I am not planning to do landing till January.

you can enter through border on private vehicle without travel visa.. but for any commercial travel like plane, commercial buses etc you need travel visa else the carrier will not let you board

haha that sounds right.. they wouldnt wanna lose $510 :P.. unfortunately in my case, even though i already got COPR, i still need BOWP extension as i have travel plans mid dec and coming back mid jan.. planing to do landing only then thus i cannot retract m BOWP extension application :(

Either way is safe.. the problem in my case is im leaving dec 16 so if i do landing through border today i m 100% sure i wont get my PR in time to travel abroad.. thus i would rather do landing during my trip instead of doing now due to PR card processing times.

if u use any commercial method of coming back (air/rail/bus) the company will probably not let you board.. i will be surprised if they did let u board with no TRV or work permit.. the work permit letter is not an official letter so it doesnt count.. im not sure about the ferry.. but if u take...

I had the same scenario.. from the company i was contracted through i asked them to give me employment letter and also the job description at the time of job ad placement.. then i got job description from the company i was posted at.. it worked fine.

I have seen people got EE PR approved while having both EE and CEC in process simultaneously.. so i do not see a reason why you may have an issue.. by all means go ahead.. a friend of mine got EE CEC within 10 weeks last month..

I thought it depends on 1 year from medical date.. so i was expecting perhaps March.. but i am coming back around Jan 10th so anytime after that works fine for me :)
