Hey guys, If I wanted to find out where my file is (OTT/ISB), can I just call the call centre or do I have to go through the MP? If call centre, how do I go abouts asking where the file is? Is there something specific I have to ask or just generally ask where the file has been transferred to...

I think it's a good sign as I remember other forum members mentioned that OTT will send file to ISB to issue the visa.

Congratulations. Did you ever involve the MP in your case? I have heard mixed reviews from people that involving MP speeds up the process. Not sure how true that is.

Congrats to those that got TRV. Just an FYI, the last time I visited an immigration lawyer, he strongly suggested against applying for TRV and just waiting for PPR. I don't how credible he was, but he said from his experience, TRVs usually delay the actual spousal visa. Again, I don't know...

Congratulations Safi! Quick question, you mentioned that you received the PPR via email. Does the sponsor also receive a copy of the email or is it just the principal applicant. Thanks.

I am happy for her.. but for some reason, I don't buy her story... there is something not right.. think about it.. she applied feb ... transferred to isb in jun.. then miraculously they request for more docs in july.. (within a month???) then in sept she gets her ppr... she might have gotten...

Babbi, congratulations on the PPR. You mention, your husband visited you in the middle and you collected more proofs. Did your husband submit more proof after the file was submitted? If so, to ISB office?

Not trying to put anyone down or question their knowledge... just the fact that a few users have reported different cases... so we shouldn't neglect that... everyone's input is valuable... we are all in the same boat :) Anyway, not sure if this article has been shared before, but it was posted...

You are right... but not everything is done by the book... the biggest example is the processing time for sponsorship.. as of today, officially, they are still processing april 17, 2012 cases... regardless, whatever the case maybe, let's hope it's for the better...
