Your police certificate is valid if CIC received it within 3 months of issue to you. If they don't send it back and you got it in before 3 months had passed (as long as it stays in their hands) the police cert is good for a year from issue.

I'm not sure why they sent a letter like that. They are supposed to give you a chance to prove them wrong but unless your case is a rare exception to why you didn't marry or live together, this is likely their I've of giving you a chance to prove you belong in that category before a rejection...

I don't know your situation but UNLESS it is absolutely IMPOSSIBLE for you to get married or be common-law, then you will be denied for conjugal category regardless of what you send them. Conjugal is only for couples who absolutely cannot get married or live together to be considered common-law...

It is tempting but I wouldn't. Even though your UCI means they could match your form to your file, chances are when your form gets delivered they won't go digging through the pile of hundreds of applications looking for yours. Most likely the updated form would get put in a waiting line like...

I would guess that this means they plan to approve you once all the technicalities are cleaned up. Especially if they weren't questioning your relationship. I assume once you submit they will continue to process your application.

Thanks Tink! I remember you :) We were. The VO decided that although we proved a genuine relationship we could not prove common law (which was crap). We decided to take a break from the process but actually got married this summer so we are reapplying.
