Re: Calling CIC I would say you have been approved. Sometimes they send approval through snail mail and I have heard of some people recently not getting any notification of approval. Best bet is for your hubby to call the non-800 number (assuming he is outside of Canada) and tell them he wants...

You would only have this if you have gotten some sort of visa before. It's a UCI number (unique client identifier). If not then you won't be able to check until you hear and you will get a UCI and file number at that time.

I completely understand. My app was perfect too and had updated forms and still people who applied after I did were getting approved first. I thought I must have done something wrong too.. then SA came. I think you will be just fine. Good luck!

I applied on the 22nd and only got SA on Friday. And with the long weekend I don't think it's unreasonable for someone who applied on the 25th to hear within the next day or two. I had all updated forms too. So don't panic. Also, my ecas doesn't work yet even though I HAVE SA because sometimes...

Agreed. I'm past 41 days. App received Aug 22. Had the new form and no form requests. But no word yet. All of the Commonwealth countries seem to be getting preferential treatment, which sucks.

P.A. forgive me for being too lazy to read back... but how did you have an interview in April BEFORE your file even got to POS? Did POS request your arc and when?

Generally u can fax or email documents. For official forms I believe they usually prefer originals only. They may have listed fax and email as a general statement at the end of all their document requests... but I have never seen them accept forms in any version except original in the mail...
