Are you saying your medicals expire January 2018? If yes, that means they received your last medicals in January 2017. If medicals have passed, thats when they will normally initiate background checks (Security and criminality are part of back ground checks). Security checks can take upto 3-4...

Be prepared for life in the cold... lol On a serious note, i consider privileged to be living in a country like Canada. I always suggest folks to move here with an open mind (leave your baggage at the airport.. if you know what i mean) and look forward to a wonderful life in this amazing...

If medicals have already expired, they will most likely request new ones. Hopefully, that will be the last stage in your case. Yes, i did receive PPR a week ago.

When is the last Medical Valid till? It should be in the notes under Medical section. Medicals are valid for a year and if yours is expiring soon, they will most likely request a new one (as the officer notes mention). I believe meds have to be valid atleast at the time a final decision is made...

IT's usually on the first page under application status or something. But that date hardly means anything or tells you anything. I think its juts a reminder for someone to look at the file by that date. In any case, if your medicals are expiring and notes suggest they may request new ones, they...

How did you gain PR? I think you may be confused about sponsoring parents as they are not considered depenants Untill you sponsor them. So in your PR application, you wouldn't be sponsoring them. Normally when you apply for PR on your own, your dependants are your wife and kids and not your...

Can't say for sure what your chances are. You mentioned they asked for dependant educational documents in June 2017. If they have a doubt about your eligibility as a dependant, your chances of getting a visitor visa might be low. On the other hand, if they are satisfied with the documents you...

Nobody can say for sure. Do you know if the Medicals passed? What does it show when you check the status online? I've heard that the Delhi office is overwhelmed with applications waiting for review and not enough visa officers. With the upcoming christmas break/ vacation time of the year...

If you are applying for a new super Visa, then yes, everything has to be done like before: proof of income etc. You can use last year's T4 (last couple of years if the income is consistent). also i think you can get a statement of Maternity benefits from service canada (online too) as proof of...

The trick is to call them right when open for business in the morning. Like they open at 8 AM, you should be on the phone dialing at 7:59 AM. Emails enquiries are a hit/ miss. Curious, why do you think your mom cant be here with you for christmas if she has a valid visa? Are you worried they...

Usually MEdicals are only valid for 1 year. So if your last medicals have been completed for more than a year, from past cases, CIC will request another medical as i believe a valid medical is required to make a final decision. If your medicals are still valid, there's a good chance that the...

Strange for an interview after the DNA test. Have you seen the dna test results? If its conclusive in the results that the relationship is established between all applicants and sponsors, waste of time to interview on parentage/ relationship. That is if that is what the interview is for. How...

Just heard back from the MP's office. apparently the Delhi office has a backlog of files waiting for 'Final Review' and not enough personnel to do the job and there are no guarantees/ timelines to when these files will be processed. Was told it may not be before the end of the year/ early next...

Your medicals are valid for 1 year. So good till July/ August 2018. If there are no complications with background checks etc, you should be getting the PPR before your medicals expire. I've had Medicals passed in April 2017 and apparently all the checks have been completed, waiting on final...
