Are you both outside of Canada? Have a look at the spreadsheet on page one and try finding people with the same VO. That's what I did. There were only two other people who used my local VO in 2018, both waited roughly 2 months after file was transferred before they received their medical...

Same here. It depends from country to country as well. In my case, we are both outside of Canada. So we have AOR2 and background check etc. but no medical request. From what I have researched, our local visa office requests medicals a month before requesting passports. It is crazy.

If the PA's ECAS states "We started processing your application" it is AOR2. Lots of people have confirmed that they never received an e-mail stating the above. Before AOR2, PA's ECAS will say "We received your application". At least that is what I have gathered...
