How We Compiled Our Spousal Sponsorship Application - 2018

We were only allowed to provide 10 pages of communications, so I just added screenshots (about 3) per page so that you can at least see what is going on inside the screenshot.

How We Compiled Our Spousal Sponsorship Application - 2018

Hi, my supporting documents were usually screenshots pasted onto a Word document, so the Word document had a header with the sponsor's name and DOB, applicant's name and DOB, the section i.e sponsor's "supporting documents: relationship proof". For normal letters from fiends and families, we...

Alberta Health Card Waiting Time - Moving from Outside Canada

Thank you. I read the information required on the website, just not sure what proof of address a newcomer will provide since newcomers usually live in a temporary place for the first week or two before signing a lease etc. We will therefore have no proof of address with our names on for at least...

    Healthcare for Newcomers to Alberta

Hi guys, hoping someone here can help me. We are landing in Alberta on 21 June 2019 this year, as newcomers. We don't have an official address with utility bills and our names yet, as we are new and will be in an Airbnb for the first two weeks or maybe even longer. Can I just give my friend's...

Alberta Health Card Waiting Time - Moving from Outside Canada

Hi guys, hoping someone here can help me. We are also landing in Alberta on 21 June 2019 this year, as newcomers. We don't have an official address with utility bills and our names yet, as we are new and will be in an airbnb for the first two weeks or maybe even longer. Can I just give my...

Need help on my forms (Sponsoring Spouse)....=(

As YVR123 said in his post below mine, the UCI stays the same for the person. The application number I assume will be provided to you, as it is a different application.

Need help on my forms (Sponsoring Spouse)....=(

Thanks for clarifying. Exactly why I said to OP to contact a senior member lol. Too many things that I am still learning, but at least I have learnt something new now. Thanks!

Need help on my forms (Sponsoring Spouse)....=(

I cannot comment on that, maybe ask a more senior member. I personally do not know the answer. My assumption, however, is that the previous UCI will not be the same as far as I'm concerned, since it is probably linked to the case.

Need help on my forms (Sponsoring Spouse)....=(

You should read the complete guide on CIC's website. A "Family member" is not your wife's brothers and sisters etc. Family members are defined as dependent children that you and your wife have. Look at the response K.H.P already gave you.

Send them the updated one as soon as you can. You should be fine. Did you give an explanation as to why you made the mistake?

Working while waiting on spousal sponsorship PR

Thanks You are correct yes. I just meant if he wants to apply during the time he wants to apply (June 2020- December 2020), inland would allow him to stay and work on an OWP in Canada after his work permit expires.Unless he is lucky and his application is completed before December 2020 of course.

Working while waiting on spousal sponsorship PR

Hi Ryan, If you'd like to apply for common-law, you would have to have lived together for 12 months continuously before applying (i.e if you apply for sponsorship in July 2020, you would have had to live together since July 2019, and be able to show proof via lease agreements, billing addresses...

    Inadmissiblity - PR application

It is in my opinion a good sign yes. Since you already received a PFL, if they were to reject your case you would have received a final rejection letter in stead of request for additional information. Just be truthful going forward.

    Proof of contact

This will always be a requirement, and it makes sense. Canada is an English/French country, and those are the official languages. We are Afrikaans and English, and since we knew that we will be sending in proof we started chatting in English and we also made our FB posts etc. in English for the...

    Applications processed in Pretoria

Hi. If you received AOR in March 22 you wont hear from them for about a month or so, then medical request will come. Check your ECAS and see whether it says "we started processing your application" under PA's name.

Proof of sponsor's intention to return to Canada???

Hi, I created a new Word file with updated proof of our plans (housing, funds, job searches, you name it.). I attached the word document and plane tickets of my fiance into an e-mail and sent the e-mail directly to my local visa office.
