February 2014 PNP applicant that already submitted their application to NS CIO

Good point Diaboluce. Also PNP processing should be much faster than CEC as CIC doesn't have to bother about making sure applicants have worked a certain job, under a certain permit for a certain time. The nomination certificate should be enough. I still can't figure out why is CIC so slow all...

February 2014 PNP applicant that already submitted their application to NS CIO

Technically, it shouldn't going by this info on the CIC website. http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/helpcentre/answer.asp?q=869&t=6 But I have a feeling our delays in getting a PPR is probably due to implementation of Express Entry. Maybe they are training staff and updating equipment to gear up for...

February 2014 PNP applicant that already submitted their application to NS CIO

Sigh... Didn't we all fall for the trap of being a provincial nominee as we thought it is the "fastest" stream.

Hey Baba123sai1: I was just gonna ask the same question posted by Piggie. It makes no sense for CIC to request passports of March applicants when the whole of feb is waiting. Was that March applicant inland or outland?

I selected Privacy Act. You have to pay 5 bucks if you select the other one. Save your 5 bucks. Already the whole immigration process has drained our pockets.

February 2014 PNP applicant that already submitted their application to NS CIO

Very happy for you Luvpreet. baba123sai1: Nope there is no due date on my GCMS page 2. However under the security section (which is not yet started) the due date mentioned is April 11, 2015. Exactly a year after I received my AOR. Does that mean I will only hear by next April? In that case, I...

February 2014 PNP applicant that already submitted their application to NS CIO

Same here. My last update was on 10th September 2014 (the day my file turned into IP). My security check status is "Not yet started" and the office is CIO. Can you please confirm the office where your file was when it turned IP? Mine was still in CIO as on Oct 17- the date when the note was...

Hey Baba123sai1, I guess you had ordered GCMS notes in recent past. Can you please confirm if the last time your file was updated (After it turned IP) was the office CIO or CPP. I have a feeling our applications are in CIO not CPP.

Yes Ednia. I am sure that our files are not in Ottawa. Maybe Security is handed by CIO and then once that goes through, the file is transferred to Ottawa. Again it is mere speculation on my part. Konan: Thanks for boosting my spirit, buddy.

February 2014 PNP applicant that already submitted their application to NS CIO

Also the office updating my status on September 10 was CIO not CPP-Ottawa. Isn't that strange? Looks like we are in a royal mess. Will other members who ordered GCMS notes also share their observations.

February 2014 PNP applicant that already submitted their application to NS CIO

Agree with you Diaboluce that these days the average time from IP to PPR has gone up considerably. I got my GCMS notes today and it says Security Review- not yet started. It was last updated on 10th September 2014 (the very day that my case turned IP). I wonder what happened to CIC all of a...

February 2014 PNP applicant that already submitted their application to NS CIO

Hi Konan. I guess IP is not a good indication of how close we are to the finish line i.e. PPR. If you notice the lucky guy who got his PPR yesterday (Feb applicant) actually had an IP date after ours. I still don't know how long the wait will be.
