Well, I received my TRV in the mail and I have to pick up my renewed passport as my current one was expiring in November. I'm not sure if those two conditions require that I report it to the VO or not...i.e., my new status in Canada, as well as perhaps providing a "new" photocopy of my passport...

Don't know if it is a good sign or not, but they are asking many people for copies on this forum, so I assume it is the normal course. Usual course for Visa exempt countries is to ask only for copies, not the actual passport as don't need a "Visa stamp" if you are from exempt country.

I'm from exempt country, so they only asked for a full photocopy of the passport. So I still have my passport :)

I requested the notes from the physical file and basically just got a copy of my application back. So I think the proper choice is the electronic file. I sent a new request in again and this time asked for the electronic file. Others may have a different opinion.
