I don't think it matters if you use yours or your wife's account to link the application once you link using your wife's details (UCI or application number) which it seems you have since you were successful in linking.

Has anyone gotten SA this week? It feels like the process has slowed recently. My partner's status on mycic changed to eligibility check in process and background check changed from "not applicable" to "the next step is to conduct a background check". I am the sponsor and from this morning my ecas is displaying my previous pr application and status as decision made along with my current sponsor status which still says "in process". Does anyone have any idea what this means? Why is it showing my previous completed application from years back?

If you want to send extra documents that may be Useful that's fine but I would just send all the documents they asked for Eg marriage certificate, whether you think it makes sense or not. Just make sure whatever documents you provide have been translated.
