Well, if you are 100% sure that you are getting the pr status than dont extend it. However, to be on safe side I would extend it, there is no harm. My husband made that same mistake of not extending his visa, we stayed in this moment of uncertainty and fear. But he got the pr anyways.

I think you should wait until you get your NOA, because they take LICO very seriously. In 2008, we applied for PR for a family thinking we will update increase in income later since it takes about 4 years for PR. But, they denied our application base on not meeting LICO in 2008. So, regardless...
