Not sure, but I have Noticed Its been happening for more people in Feb and March also now.. My spouse is in India (Outland). I believe its is to deal with the work load on IRCC end and faster.

This was happening to lots of peps lately post covid. I think they are sending applications to different VO's based on work load and complication of the each application.. from the current trend sending to Ottawa is on positive side, faster and nothing to worry about.

We are scheduled to give medical test first week of December. Once we can give biometrics also, I assume two three months if everything simple and straightforward in our application!

We got Medical Request today. Biometrics last week... :) Timeline in signature!

Received Biometric instruction letter today in email! and able to link into my GCKey!

Two peps from June 17 2020 confirmed on Facebook group that they got biometric request email today. Things are on the positive side :D

Thanks Canjeero. I have had Copy of Aadhar Card just incase and that work as a additional proof as my wife live in the same address with me. And yes you are right, India has no unified official National ID to use, not yet.

Recently one person in May group shared his Temp Number and when I minuses his application number digits with mine, and assuming all application are numbered based on the day of received there is around 24800 applications between May 02nd to June 17th. Just a wild guess :D...

We are all in the waiting game for now. Don't feel too stressed about the Temp number. It is mainly use to internally track your file until they complete all the completeness check and an officer start processing your application ( Example XF000****** ). Once its officially verified complete...

I think its totally depends on who you end up talking with and luck.. very few seems to have got temp number even in other groups like feb and March!

No email updates so far... I am flying to see my wife in December So I called them to make sure its fine on both ends if leave Canada for vacation purpose. And enquired about the process so far and they just gave it to me!

Thats the same number I called(1888-242-2100).. I called from Canada in local time. used menus 2-1-1-0

Ours was received by June 17th. Just be nice and friendly over the phone and it helps a ton!!!
