    things to Bring

When I traveled from Canada to South America via USA they wanted to see it. And on top of that they did a drug test with me. But that was the first time in my life and I travel a lot ;-)

    things to Bring

Bring it in your carry-on and include the prescription if you still have it. I don't know how many pills you can bring with you. By mail (from Germany) only a 3-month-pack was allowed.

    Messy... scenario! Help :(

I would do the same. I came here with an IEC visa (Working Holiday) and I was really happy about it. I looked for a job for about 6 weeks until I finally found one and I can tell you: These 6 weeks without a job, just sitting at home and waiting for my boyfriend were really boring and I felt...

    Renewing a SIN between permits.

As far as I know working under implied status doesn't require a renewed SIN. You can work with your expired one until you get your OPW. I'm not 100% sure but one of my co-workers is doing the same at the moment after double-checking with CIC

    One way flights to Canada

You don't get anything back if you don't ask. Cheaper flights are usually non-refundable and I got not even €15 taxes back

Average cost of spousal sponsership for UK citizen?

You can pay online or at a bank. It's explained on the CIC website. Read the guide carefully. $75 are for the sponsorship application, $475 are for the immigration application and $490 are the right of permanent resident fee. You have to pay all of these fees but you can pay the $490 later on...

    One way flights to Canada

If a return flight is cheaper than one-way than book the return and cancel the other ticket after you arrived in Canada. I did it, too when I came here from Germany because return was $730 and one-way was $1800.

    VIENNA OFFICE

After checking out this forum for the last 7 days I hope now that we sent enough proof of our relationship. Some people here had several hundred pages :o I'm not even close to this. But I guess it depends on the situation, right? We lived together all the time except for 2 occasions of 5 days...

Help needed - Docs submitted to CIC

We applied outland and put all the documents in one envelope. Sponsorship has been approved by Mississauga and my application is now in Vienna. We never measured the size of our envelope. So I think there shouldn't be a problem.

For How long you've known your spouse?

I started a one year world trip in March 2012 in Calgary. 10 days later I stayed with a guy who offered me a couch on couchsurfing in December 2011. We fell in love very fast, I cancelled my world trip and I never left. I had a Working Holiday Visa until March 2013 and now I'm working under a...

    Up front Medical Exam

I don't know if it has something to do with the change from paper medical to e-medical. They changed the whole process in March 2013. The paper medical form was called IMM 1017 but maybe the name of the form has changed since then. Did you check the document checklist on the CIC website again...
