It will be in Progress until you get a passport submission request. could take from a month to 6 months to complete the whole process.

There can be hundreds of reasons for this. The cases might be delayed because of officer or office being changed, cases being passed to local vo's, additional document request or they might delay the processing because of syrian cases. The comfort for me is that I am not the only one with this...
