Scarborough office / timeline after test

Whenever the oath date happens, I hope I don't have to go all the way back down to Scarborough to get it done like I did with the test. It's a nine hour drive for me.

    JAN 2015 Citizenship Applicants

I've been 'decision made' since the 4th of September. I swear, waiting for the oath letter to come is pretty nerve-wracking. Tomorrow will be the fifth week of that 4-8 week wait that the interviewing officer had told me to expect. It might be possible that you're 'decision made' already, and...

    JAN 2015 Citizenship Applicants

I've had to wait about 5 1/2 months before I was invited to write the test. Some are still waiting. It's the process, unfortunately. What else can we do?

Keep an eye out in your mailbox for your yellow notice to appear letter. If you haven't seen it by the 7th, I would give the CIC Call Centre a call.

    JAN 2015 Citizenship Applicants

That is the same version I've used to study with. If you got it directly from CIC, then it's the one you want.

2-4 months? I wonder why they told me 4-8 weeks. Now I'm puzzled. Anyway, congrats on your perfect score. :)

    JAN 2015 Citizenship Applicants

I would highly recommend studying the 'Discover Canada' book from front to back, as all of the answers in the test can be found in that book. You can also practice the test here at: http://www.yourlibrary.ca/citizenship/index.cfm Just be aware that although the practice tests may help, the...

    JAN 2015 Citizenship Applicants

I have learned from my experience with the landing process, that it is a very good idea to be proactive with your file in dealing with CIC. Back in the beginning of 2012, when they finished with my immigration application, I never got a notice to send in my passport, so my wife ordered the...

    JAN 2015 Citizenship Applicants

There are certainly errors that happen in Scarborough. I never got a notice to write the test from them, so I called ahead to the call centre and learned where I had to go. There was one other person there on the day I took said test, that didn't get a notice, either. I can't speak of other days...

It sure seems that way, doesn't it? Seems to be no rhyme or reason to the process.
