Make sure that you get a stamp on your passport when you cross. I had a friend whose visitor extension was denied because they did not get a stamp. My wife did not get a stamp either, so we are worried for when December approaches.

Keep in mind that border guards often make notes when you cross the border of things you say, so if you say you're going to go visit friends, and then later use that trip as relationship evidence, CIC has access to your records of crossing and may see a note that you're merely visiting...
