How long does it normally take to receive an answer from CIC after submitting the spouse sponsorship

That is not normal. You need to call IRCC and see what has happened with your application

Outland sponsorship but Case Processing Centre doesn't forward it to local VO?

Nope, it remains to be seen. It takes long enough to receive AOR that no applications sent to Sydney have even gotten to the point of being transferred to a VO yet.

    What next? just got approved!

Congrats! When you receive your COPR you will have two options - 1) flagpole at the US/Canada border or 2) call IRCC and schedule a landing appointment at the office nearest you.

My life is a living hell after sponsoring spouse

Rescinding it protects people from fraud and abuse, as well. Many people (especially women) were forced to stay in abusive relationships because they feared losing their PR status.

Outland sponsorship but Case Processing Centre doesn't forward it to local VO?

There is currently a pilot program in place where some straightforward applications have been processed completely in Mississauga instead of being transferred to the VO. The criteria for the applications to be kept in Mississauga was never made public.

Police Clearance Certificate (PCC) - Should I get PCC from each city I have lived in?

You should not have gotten a PCC from your hometown at all. IRCC only accepts national PCCs (issued from the country you live in), not on a state or city basis. Be sure to follow the instructions on the IRCC website based on the country you live in...

Ah, makes sense! (edited to clarify, I meant what you said makes sense, not that it makes sense for adultery to be illegal ;) )

PPR request but out of country

Typically, applicants in the US would not submit through a VFS office, but rather would send to Ottawa using FedEx. I believe this would be the simplest solution. (If outland applicants are visiting Canada when they receive their PPR, they submit to Ottawa as well, even if request comes from the...

    Conjugal visa

You are on the right track, but there is one other thing IRCC would question if you were to apply conjugal - why can't your boyfriend come live with you for 12 months in the Philippines to establish a common-law relationship (inconvenience/financial burden does not suffice - there needs to be...

Yes, you can sponsor in the future if you have been on welfare in the past. You just cannot be on welfare at the time you apply to sponsor.

    Husband's OWP

What do you mean apply for OWP? Are you a Canadian citizen/PR hoping to sponsor your husband for PR? If not, this is the wrong section of the forum. If you are a foreign student hoping to apply for your husband to receive an OWP, try posting this in the international student section of the...

How much CAD can a PR holder bring during landing and later

Assuming you mean cash - there is no limit, but if it is over $10,000, it needs to be declared (so it will be on record that he brought that much money into the country). There is no duty or tax or anything of that nature.

Living in Canada while still working in the USA?

Ah, I see. In that case, if he wants to keep his job permanently, you're right that continuing to live apart and visit frequently might be the best thing to do until he lands as a PR. However, outland applications are processed so quickly that hopefully you wouldn't have to do that for very...

Living in Canada while still working in the USA?

I totally get it, and have been in your shoes. Outland applications for Americans, as long as it's a straightforward app, are processed very quickly (4-6 months). If you guys can save some money, the simplest solution that would allow you to live together immediately after you got married would...

Living in Canada while still working in the USA?

There are many people who have done this, with varying amounts of success. Having a Nexus card helps A LOT, as he would be subject to far less questioning each time he crossed. Having a visitor record showing a six month stay helps as well, as it shows he knows how long he can stay (he can...
