you will be arrested after crossing and if you have no criminal history you will be be able to apply for asylum . but it not a easy process. try to apply on legal border crossing. as your brother is living in canada.

You can get a lawyer from legal aid . Google lawyers who accept legal aid . Better present by lawyer

It took 3 months for us to get the interview date . Yes they will see from your story if it qulify you to be. Refugee in canada .

Prepare to Answer all the questions why you need protection in canada . If they see you are eligible then they give you a ID as well forward your file to IRB .

you can apply online. its fast and you get quick Work permit. just go to CIC website and fill the form. you need a computer and scanner to do scan and send the documents.

Dont risk coming to Montreal as the earliest date for hearing i got is june 2018 . As per news mimimum wait time is 16 months for first hearing.

i think you never approved to be a refugee in eligibility interview in cic ???
