Well, we have heard of sowp applicants from 5th, 9th, 13th of Jan who have already received medical/PPR, so its not a question of if they haven't started processing Jan applications yet.

Anyone has any ideas on what to do here, other than wait? While there can be delays and it can take more time than what the processing times mention (10 weeks), getting NO information for 14-15 weeks seems wrong. Emailing Delhi office seems to do no good.

Reason for refusal? Unless its something like a criminal history, or health issues that 'can be burden to Canadian taxpayer', your spousal permit refusal should not impact work permit application.

Didn't you submit IMM5257B_1 along with your application? Its one of the required supporting document.

If you want to speak to a cust care person, try early in the morning, after 8am EST. They can give you status of an application only if the application was made in Canada and is processed in Canada. Otherwise they don't have permission to disclose application details.
