If I'm not wrong your application is assessed based on the AOR date, meaning whatever is submitted until that point in time is considered for evaluation and any future employment is irrelevant to the assessment.

My AOR is Aug 20, 2018 and my file last touched on Sep 11, 2018. I'm also in RR due to job duties not provided for the NOC i was applied under.

It depends on the issue. For instance, I learned from this thread some people who are on the edge of POF received benefit of doubt and able to get PR's without additional documents but in some cases where the RR is based on Employment history or job duties it is good to have them upload...

I think you should let them know because ultimately there is a passport number change which isn't really part of the approved PPR application as far as I know. If IRCC is good with expiry passport you are literally wasting your effort to go through this self made nuisance.
