It all depends when you get an ITA, how quickly you are able to gather documents and upload them and submit a final application. Then CIC takes its own sweet time, which varies from case to case, to process you case. So it is extremely difficult to predict when a certain event may occur during...

You have to wait for 9 weeks before they can tell you the status of your application.

In that case, it would be ok to remove it from the application. CIC website states that As long as the information in your final application is not different from the locked profile, you should be ok.

Once you get an ITA, you cannot change the profile. Best is to decline the ITA, modify the profile, and wait for another draw. Looking at the current trend, I would'nt be too worried about getting a second ITA.

This looks like a reasonable approach. I am in the same boat and considering doing the same thing. Did you get your second ITA after declining the first one?
