    CEC - August 2014 application

I feel ya. And yes, this forum has gone insane. I will also just follow the forum to see if there's any movement from cic but no more comments from my part either. And again congrats on your mr!!

    CEC - August 2014 application

Wow your violence is just astonishing. It sounds completely reasonable to just read the forum till you actually got something to share. I did it for years. Of course, there's fake people but you can't go around assuming everyone are liars and insulting them. There's something aeriously wrong...

What the hell is wrong with you man? He did is a favor by letting us know and all you do is turn this into a bad thing. No wonder he didn't come back.

Am I allowed to pay the domestic tuition?

Hi there. I have no idea about your situation but check this out: http://calendars.registrar.yorku.ca/2015-2016/financial/fee_categories/index.htm it states exactly in what situation you are eligible to pay domestic. I'm eligible because me and my husband have open work permits since we are...

    CEC - August 2014 application

Are you freaking serious? I would suggest people to stop it with the negativity. If you're gonna talk about morgues and hell and stuff, just keep it to yourself. Or go see a therapist to find a way to handle this situation better. We need to keep positive. We are here, in Canada, a beautiful...

Points for LMO if in new job?

I believe that all you need is the LMIA (at this point there shouldn't be any LMOs left). Not the job itself. But it has to be valid. If I'd known this process would take so long, I would've applied to EE while my LMO was still valid. Though if someone could confirm that would be great.

New Canadian Prime Minister Mr. Justin Trudeau very Kind Man

I'm sorry but this thread cracks me up. First, what makes you think he's a kind man? I was happy when he got elected but c'mon, I doubt he got where he is by being kind. Second, why on hell would you believe he handles his own facebook? lol and third, he has a whole country to run, and I doubt...

Plz answer my Query on PPR

I don't think anyone knows at this point. Though they seem to be focusing the little resources they have for the old applications to completing the ones made before August. Just read around the forum and you'll see how fast (or not) they're moving. Just order notes and check what's going on...

August 2014 applicant and accepted to University

Go to the cic website, under the STUDY part. It says you can work part-time IF you're studying full-time. However, they told me when I called that if you have an owp, it doesn't get cancelled if you get a study permit, which would allow you to study part-time and work.

August 2014 applicant and accepted to University

Well, they told me I could change my program and start on Winter. The career I wanna do only starts on fall so I would have to change programs twice. I'm looking into that option right now. We'll see how it goes. Thank you vonronge!

Thank you vonronge for the alternative! I guess I'm just too much of a chicken to try it :-[ I already stayed 'without status' once and they gave me a work permit anyways (I was honest about it to cic). So I really don't wanna test the limits. I admire you anyways for your courage :D

August 2014 applicant and accepted to University

Maybe you should stop assuming things about me, canadavisa13. When we applied for our pr the processing time was 13 months and they were actually moving fast. Right now, even if we are within the processing time, is hard seeing how little progress there is and besides, at no point did I complain...

August 2014 applicant and accepted to University

Oh I would love to do that if it didn't actually endanger my residence application. You are technically studying without a permit. After all this years of waiting, I'll just wait another one. :(

I called cic twice (I'm the wife) and both times they told me that if I get a study permit my owp will still be valid!!! Isn't that amazing? Unfortunately I still don't have enough time to apply for the study permit. Classes start next week.
