Hi @diwalaoey - Not only are they not required, they are actually not allowed to attend with you. Some offices will refuse to give you the test if you have kids with you.

We were in a similar boat and opted to renew our PR cards since we didn't know how long the citizenship process will take. I would recommend renewing your PR cards if you plan to travel in the next 12 months.

There are tons of people who have had FP requests and the delay is insignificant. It definitely does delay the process, but as you mentioned, not as much as an RQ which could delay your application by years.

They did not send a FP request to me, just to my wife and she did it. Same exact scenario with us after calling CIC (they have the prints and doing one more thing for background check). Good luck!

Did you have to do Finger Prints or was it DM after the test with no other additional documents needed?

Yeah, we were told they are still doing their checks although they received the FP report. Not sure what that means either. I guess we just have to wait and see. Keep us posted!
