My background checks have been in process since June 2017. My due date keeps getting bumped to 2 months every time one due date passes. CBSA is taking so long to complete their checks. Any idea what I should do?

The Minister said that since it's BGC, they can't do anything. Trudeau said he can't do anything since it falls under the Minister's program and he has more important issues to worry about :(

We were asked to do remed in April 2017 before the interview. The medical is also going to expire in 2 weeks. According to CBSA and CSIS, BGC is still underway. Like seriously, how much checking do they need to do?!

It varies from 0.5 days to 7 months and counting :) Check the spreadsheet for analysis.

You have to wait until they send you a request for remed. You can't do another medical without the remed letter.

My BGC have been in process since June 2017. Still waiting. I requested an update from CBSA and CSIS and they confirmed that it's still in process and the priority for it is "Normal"
