You have to receive a confirmation email that they received your documents and attached to your file. I don't remember exactly, I guess I received that email a month after I uploaded. Or you can call IRCC, but it's hard to reach them, have to call several times.

Not accurate. IRCC do what they want. My timeline was increased twice already and it's 21 month for now, will be not surprised if they will increase again.
