My ECAS still shows "Received". Either they are not updating ECAS or the agent working on it never returned from vacation as of yet. This organization is a BIG JOKE. There is no logic to their operations.

Test invite as far as I know is only by regular mail. It is hard to say when it will come regardless of whether ECAS says in process or transferred to local office. It might me 1 week or 3 months. We are all well within 1 year mark, be patient. This process used to take 24 months before. There...

Don't worry, you are not alone. Your ECAS is just not updating just like myself (system glitch). Did you try calling them again for update? I believe you should expect a letter in coming days.

Time and again it has been said in this forum that ECAS is not dependable. Please do not rely on ECAS as they are still working on it to fix. As a result updates are being done very late on it(depending on the agent) & also the service is sometimes interrupted sporadically. It could happen...

Atleast they are doing some activity which you can see on ECAS. For others like me, cannot see anything but "Received" since ages. Soon you will get test invitation. It seems the CIC officers are still learning to use ECAS, some of them are junk heads who do not even use it!

This is not true. I applied Aug. 7th(Scarborough), ECAS shows received, no update yet!

We shouldn't fret over it I guess as the officer in charge of our files simply is not updating ECAS. There have been many cases where the applicant has received test letter & ECAS still shows received or in process at the most!!!

Just browsing today on this forum I found some Sept & even Oct 2014 email AOR files sent to local office. What is happening with June, July & Aug. 2014 email AORs???? Maybe the ECAS is not updated to show current status. Confusing!

Also, please note that the ECAS is not yet fully aligned to the new routine. So whatever you see may or may not be showing anything happening in office. I have seen people who already have test invite & ECAS still shows received. They still have a lot of work to do to update & train staff to use it.
