I received email from London visa office, they indicated that Riyadh office is facing backlog of passports and they are trying to clear them as soon as they are able to. No time limit was given. But they requested for patience to the end of the process.

It was the same until July, then they slowed down. Really frustrating, and they dont respond to our emails.

That was logical answer, but it was not that bad few months ago. This is the worst period.

Google says delays were in 2011, after that no news reports about such delays.

I called VFS today trying to sniff any information. They advised me to contact the embassy, more than a week and no response from the embassy.
