From the spreadsheet, it's interesting to see how many of the 2019 apps are going to Missisauga's local visa office whereas the previous years had a very few going there...

So I was just able to link the app to GCkey account after many many attempts! Would they still send emails out as they did before? Or am I supposed to check this on a regular basis now?

We have our parents medical and PCC done too. I had no idea that background check is done after these. What does the background check entail anyway?

About visa offices - I receive emails from CPC Mississauga so I assume this is the Visa Office for us? What sort of timelines are we looking at once medical and biometrics are done for this office? Anyone knows...

Medical was completed about 3 weeks ago. I don't check ecas regularly but when checked last week, medical received line was there. Unfortunately, I have not been successful in linking the paper application using GCkey or CIC login portals...so can't access there.

Or call sharp at 8 am your time (whichever Canadian province you are in) to reach an agent:)

On Ecas, it says medical received for our status. Is there any difference b/w medical received and IME passed? Would the ecas say IME passed as a status line when medical has been reviewed?

Though I got a positive response, I do feel that this process has not been effective in terms of time it took and the cost incurred, and the disappointment it brought to the thousands of people. Hopefully, the government wil take this as a learning experience and make it better in the coming...

I read and reread these emails but unfortunately the second one says that my name was not included!

I first received an email saying accepted and then this afternoon another one saying not selected Has anyone else experienced this? What an inefficient and terrible system!
