What about those of us who are already in jobs in Canada? Is that afforded any points/recognition? Why not block your credit card or cancel the money order? If they can't process your payment, they will send you back your application

If you have 6 months left on your visa you should apply through CEC (under the current system if possible), there's no reason you shouldn't be able to get your AOR in time and get a bridging visa while your CEC application is being processed, then you wont have to leave Canada

I realize that any discussion on this topic is necessarily speculative since we are awaiting info on Express Entry, however I'd like to hear people's views... I find it hard to see how CEC can fit with the Express Entry criteria considering that it is a Visa you apply for based on work you have...

Are you located anywhere near a FedEx office/agent? They didn't require a contact number for recorded delivery when I used them

ABS, I assume gauty9 is more concerned, as I am, with the assertion by the original poster that CIC are only processing July applications now in October. We can all see how many they have processed on a weekly basis but we'd like to know where this poster got his information

Yes can you please clarify why you think they are only counting applications received from the 22nd July in the 3480 received? Surely this represents the number of applications towards the cap of 8000 they've received to date? I don't know why I read these boards, there's so much misinformation...
