CanOl, Yes i know it's the cheque...was asking that question because they have put customary stamps on the DDs for validity for 6 months...which can be done at the discretion of branch... where as the cheque has the validity nicely printed as a standard..

Thanks For sharing +1 for u....the snap shows it's a stamp which can be used by any branch for the information of the receiver and the issuer...some branches may not use it....

Just wanted to know because the Cheque book issued from ICICI have the tag 'valid for 3 months' just above the date of the cheque which is found at the top right corner of cheque... Regards

Rajneeshv, was it a printer typed thing, the validity for 6 months, or was it the old type stamp which is first punched on the half wet ink pad and then on the paper....??

Same bro, I've interacted with many from ICICI, the national DDs are valid for 3 months but There were mixed responses regarding the international DD, in foreign currency, most reliable ppl told it's valid for 6 months but still fingers crossed...

Bro I request, if you are not able to find the Copy of DD, pls visit the branch and tell them the date when the DD was issued, they can show you a xerox copy of the same...Also at what date did you issue the DD, i mean was it within 1 month of you app sent...bcos CIC has mentioned so...??

Hello Thind, I think CIC is keeping in their mind the 3 months validity, if any. Can you tell when was your app rejected, the exact date, and also was your DD issued not more that 1 month ago of you app sent date.??
