Thank you thank you! Just wanted to give the update. We thought the application had been transferred to CPP-O because it was supposed to be in Buffalo. Just hoping this gives other people a timeline.

    CPP-Ottawa

There has to be a waiting period, because they HAVE to screen people. We have enough trouble with people coming and taxing the welfare and health care system. I expected our application to be quick too, but it hasn't been. My husband is a born and raised US Citizen, I am Canadian, born and...

    Thread for outland Buffalo applicants!

I wish I knew what CPP-O was doing. Buffalo was supposed to be reviewing our PR (Spousal) but now it's just CPP-O and we have zero idea what their timeline is.

    HELP!

Would it help you to ask for communication via email? That's what I did. On our application I provided a communication email address. I've never received a letter. It's all digital. Good luck

Outbound Spousal Sponsorship, Coming to Visit...

I should add that we are both incredibly honest and have been fully upfront with the immigration in the past. I just don't know what to expect now that there is an application in play.

Outbound Spousal Sponsorship, Coming to Visit...

So I need someone to calm me down because I'm freaking out. DH and I are crossing the border on Thursday to fly off to New York to see his family. I'm nervous about returning. Since he is applying outside of Canada, he comes up as a visitor. The thing is we never know how long he will actually...

Transferred from Buffalo starts you from end of queue?

I doubt that is the case - mainly because we were supposedly transferred to Buffalo just before the change, and apparently they have been processing our application since July 31.... I doubt that would be the case if they had to restart. I should mention that I had been approved as a sponsor to...

Proximity mainly. You'd think that because they're closer that it would be faster. Also the immigration lawyer said that overseas applications usually take longer because they have a more difficult time to prove the legitimacy of the relationship. How do I order my GCMS? And what are they...

Also: Not sure what Priority Class is. We did a simple spousal sponsorship? I'm surprised applications from the Philippines are happening faster than those from the US too.

Interesting. They've never communicated that to me. All it says on e-cas is: We received your application for permanent residence on January 20, 2012. We started processing your application on July 31, 2012. Medical results have been received. They only communicated when they approved me...

    Wedding/Reception photo proof

We'd been together for 11 years at the time of submitting. So we sent pictures from throughout the years. You could literally watch us age. As one lawyer put it: There's never TOO much information you can provide. Considering they have had our application "In Process" since July 31st, I'm...

January 2012 Applicants - Join here!

I'm new here and there's a lot to read through. It doesn't look like anyone is in my situation though, from what I've seen. I'm Canadian and have been approved to sponsor my husband. We've been together for 12 years (9 at the time of marriage). We submitted our application in January, I was...
