It's a good one but I urge you to edit the part you wrote " I confirm that I meet the requirement for a Temporary Residence Visa approval and will appreciate it if my request is granted. That's a red flag... nobody is entitled to a Visa. It's the discretion of the VO to issue He/S a visa.

In the detailed letter did he mention you as his wife and his elderly father who are his strong family ties to home country. As stated earlier, his elderly father should be dependent on someone. Maybe him, If he had stated that maybe his elderly father is dependent on him on financial support...

Did you get any email notifying you that you have a message on you account or that there's been an update on your account?

Don't bother yourself... if you meet the criteria you would be given the Visa irrespective of the time of the event... its left to you to decide if wanna visit for tourism or allow the time frame to elapse without using the visa
