when i received it for my wife from Royal Canadian Mounted Police, on the top right corner there were three number 1. DOCID 2. DCN and 3. Contributer Individual ref number ... I used DCN number ... you dont need to certify it from anyone ... you can refer this post where the screen print is...

while uploading the RCMP you need to fill doc name, number and expiry date ....Exp date is normally not mentioned on the certificate ... people (including myself) fill it as 6 months or one year ..i filled 6 months. doc number is the 20 digit DCN number... hope this helps..
