I arrived on 29 Oct. and so far there was any news . Today I called them and they told me that they have send request to submit new photos two days ago. So I am back to initial situation. :o So they need more than 3 months to see that my photos are wrong. Such an inefficients way to work...

Congratulations who received the PR cards:) I landed on 29 October in Montreal, still waiting. If now people from 10 Oct just received their cards , so there is a hope that until end of february we will receive ours :) Though i expect to receive mine end of january.

Hey I just arrived Canada with PR status. As far as I understand I will received PR card after 42 days. But just wanted to check out or confirm that any new landed PR will received the Card without additionally applying for it ? (Sounds to easy:)). Or should I apply for it or pay the fees...

It might takes long until you get response from Canadian processing office. Also try to contact Delhi office. In my case it took 2 weeks, but the local consulate was very responsive, and they ask my passport a few days before Ottawa replied me.

I have question for those who already receive their CORP, can you mention important information that CORP contains? And how landings is processes when one is arrive Canada from abroad ? Does it matter whether my arrival city is different from the city or province I am going to stay ?

Officially you should wait for the response from Ottawa. But in my case local consulate was cooperative or may be they can have access to our files , have no idea. But the fact is that I have sent request first to Ottawa, but because there are delays in reply, i also wrote to local consulate. I...

May be you can try to reach them by phone. I hope soon they will reply. and may be you can also call CIC ? Good luck, I know it is stressful, but you have sent your reply mail in time, formally you should be ok. I have very similar case with PC , and they have reply a few day before deadline.

Can someone advise me, I cannot move to canada now, but i am considering to travel immediately after I receive CORP and stay in Canada 20 days. Register for PR card and Social security card. I will make my final move after 3 months. Is there anything illegal with this ?

Just to update with my situation, and this might be helpful for others. I have not received reply from CIC, but I contacted the local consulate, and they were more responsive. (CIC might be really overwhelmed with many application and hence delaying with replies). So local consulate request...

I received the confirmation from the visa officer from consulate. I am glad they confirmed the visa validity.
