They will apply the old law- AOR is confirmation of receipt and that's what they base the evaluation on.

Any updates from Toronto applicants??? Still at Received and it's worrying compared to other applicants (from other cities).

I applied late March (one week after you) and I'm still showing as received as well. I hope that's normal for Toronto/GTA applicants.

All this speculation is pointless- all we know is that it will come into effect in the summer. To people who say it can't happen on June 1st: on what basis? They could always say the rules will come into effect the following week. I'm not saying that's what will happen but it's likely it will...

That is unfortunately what happens when people just call CIC over and over again to check on the application status. It is likely they have been overwhelmed by nonsense calls from people who can't even wait another week and now everyone is getting punished. Some people are so stupid and ruin it...

Thanks- fingers crossed it seems like it takes 1-2 months post AOR to go "in process", although i don't know if that also applies to Toronto/GTA area.

Great- when did they receive your application and get your AOR? Just comparing my timeline to yours- they received my application (Toronto, ON) on 25th March and am worrying a bit that I'm still at Received.

As the others have said keep calm and just wait for the letter. Unfortunately there are many potential reasons why people get RQ'ed. But it could be something else so just wait. Seems like BC applications are going smoothly whereas GTA is soooo slow :(:(

Yes it means you'll receive a letter (most probably RQ but not 100%). The wording is awkward but standard- it's similar to the wording I get from CRA letters as well. Curious where did you apply from (Toronto, Ottawa, etc…)? At least you're in process at this stage which is good.

Congratulations; just curious did you apply at over 1100 days? Was your case straightforward (little travelling etc…)? Fingers crossed for the rest of us.

Any updates from GTA/Toronto applicants? Seems like BC processing is going very fast whereas in TO it's slower?? :( Would be great to hear that someone has gone "in process".
