It is in your interest to send them a passport with longer validity. The PR card expires with the Passport. I'd recommend you to apply for a new passport and send the new one so they can put the stamp on it. EDIT: Call the CIC call center and get more details.

If it is the same company, then choose "Inter Company transfer". If not, then try choosing "None of the above" and see what else it gonna ask you.
