The next update is when they start processing your application. If everything goes well, u will get MR around 30-60(?) days( please refer to the SS for NVO, supposed your visa office is NVO). It depends on what documents you provided them, how good your support docuemnts are, i can not say for sure.

The first communication from CIC is PER mail. U can raise case specific enquiry to CIC, but with the info you have i doubt they can reply you within the normal time frame.

Brother, just my opinion If you haven't got the PPR yet, u still have chance to inform the Visa officier. It will certainly delay the visa processing time. Let say u get visa now, then u plan to sponsor her later as a spouse. U still need to explain CIC, why you did not inform them before the...
