    Test...what do you wear?

I went to my test directly from work, so I was dressed in business casual...dress shirt and pant. You do not need to wear your Sunday best, just dress respectably. Jeans are OK too as long as they are not ripped or showing your butt crack or so baggy that you can fit 2 people in them. Bottom...

    US employer working from Canada

I am doing some research on this topic, but hope someone experienced here can share their knowledge with me. Here is the scenario – I am a Canadian Permanent Resident residing in Toronto. Say I am employed by a US employer (in California) as a full time permanent employee. The employer does not...

Is proof of employment mandatory document?

No it is not required to submit proof of employment with your Citizenship application. I would recommend NOT to submit documents which CIC did not explicitly request. There are some people out there who submit so much unnecessary crap with their application and I am sure they get cursed on by...

A Level Certificate - is it sufficient to meet Language reuirement?

As far as I am aware O level and A level English exams can NOT be used for PR or Citizenship applications. You will need to look into doing IELTS (or other alternates) as proof of English language...

Scarborough office / timeline after test

It appears Scarbaria office is back alive with oath invitations. To all those hoping you get your oath invite in a few weeks after test even though the officer told you 2-4 months, that is very unlikely to happen with all honesty. Please don't hope that way because it will drive you crazy as...

Scarborough office / timeline after test

Had my test on March 19 2015 and still waiting for oath. During my interview after the test, I was told it will take 2-4 months for oath invite. I understand that most of the people who did their test around that time were told the same. It seems for once CIC’s information is correct! I am...

Scarborough office / timeline after test

I guess cec2011 had spent time in Canada before landing. Any day you spend in Canada before landing as PR is counted as 0.5 days up to a maximum of 365 days. However this rule will become void around July this year.

    What to expect next?

"Your File was transferred to Toronto/Scarborough/Mississauga...." First time I am hearing CIC mention all 3 main locations in GTA! Generally they just specify one location.

How do we enter client id on status check page?

    Only numbers, no hyphen.

Scarborough office / timeline after test

I was March 19th test taker and patiently waiting for oath. One thing I noticed is that some people who did their test after March 19 already got their Oath invites, but I also noticed that those people had applied for their citizenship way before me. There is no need to panic people, pinky...

    Day trips to US

The residency calculator mentions that you do not need to declare day trips to US. I did not declare my day trip to US and there were no issues.

    Why is oath delaying?

I only check my ecas status once a day in the morning as I realized that if there are any updates to ecas it will tend to be overnight and not during the middle of the day. If I understood your question right, as for CIC keeping track of candidates checking ECAS status, I highly doubt there is...

Lost my citizenship oath letter in mail.

Do as the call center instructed you to and they will give you a new oath date, not much to worry about. Except you could have been a citizen by now if the mail reached you!
