PR Card Renewal Process Got Complicated - what are my options

HELDIN, I see...so you have at least 730 days when you submitted your PR card renewal application back in May 2013 but cannot substantiate it because you lost your old travel document... Even if you truly lost your old travel document, CIC could be suspicious about this so they are asking you...

PR renewal file transferred to local office in sep 2013- awaiting reply.

tekraja, When you received your renewed PR card, how long is its validity -- 5 years or 1 year? Be aware that they have put a note in your file or something... so the next time you enter Canada, the immigration officer might see this note. Also, note that even if the renewed PR card is valid...

PR renewal submitted but residency obligation not met. please help

My advice is to withdraw your application if it is still possible. Look at the cic website to see how you can withdraw your application. Once you have withdrawn your application, wait until you accumulate at least 730 days before applying again for PR card renewal. Of course, during that...

ajayjay, Do not worry about your PR card expiring while you are in Canada. Just be sure you have at least 730 days immediately preceding the date that you will submit your PR card renewal application. If you have less than 730 days when you apply, you might have some problems.

themagikone, Your background is a little confusing... You said that you recently applied for your new PR card...When you applied for your new PR card, where were you -- inside Canada or outside Canada? If you applied when you were inside Canada, how many days of residency do you have in the...

Will there be issue if I submitted an old PR card application version?

Hi Msafiri, Thanks for your reply. I agree that the June 2013 marker next to the link for the Sep 2013 version is indeed confusing. Yes, I did keep a copy of what I have submitted. After comparing the two forms, the main differences are in Sep 2013 they added question #6 (which is to list...

Will there be issue if I submitted an old PR card application version?

Hi Leon, Msafiri, and other experts: Please share your thoughts on my concern above... I am currently anxious that my recently submitted application might be returned since I used an old version of the form (June 2013) vs. the current one (September 2013) -- which I have seen just now... :(...

Wanna share my URGENT PR processing

Hi spymaster, Just a question... did you already receive your renewed PR card? If so, how did you receive it -- by mail or by going to CIC office in-person? Also, what documents did you include in your PR renewal application that show your stay in Canada in those 2 years?
